we're actually going to have the ascension as our focus this coming Sunday evening. I think it should be a whole community focus - it's a significant event - but it's not easy to do that with it falling on a Thursday. So we're going to be slightly out of sync with the lectionary on Sunday.
Anyway - I have been wrestling with the ascension all week as I want to share some thoughts on it at the gathering.

i didnt understand the whole holy spirit thing this morning referring to 'him' as if he was a person, (flesh and blood i mean).
I felt that it made the trinity idea wierd for me...
in what way did it make the trinity wierd for you? which bit in the readings in particular?
