in today's gospel reading I'm struggling to work out why the disciples were freaking out about the impossibility of the rich entering the kingdom of heaven (which Jesus has just said was more difficult than a camel passing through the eye of a needle). The respond "who then can be saved" - but they themselves were poor weren't they, having left everything to follow Christ. So why should they be so upset about the fact that the rich might find it difficult to enter the kingdom? any thoughts....anyone out there actually reading this blog?!
